PeaPlate (“we”, “our”, or “us”) helps you turn long recipe pages into clean checklists for cooking. This policy explains what information our iOS app and website collect and how we use it.

• Recipe content you provide. This includes links you paste.
• On-device data. Parsed recipes, check-off states, and settings are stored on your device and/or in your personal app storage whenever possible, with processing designed to stay on-device whenever supported.
• Diagnostic and usage data (optional). If you opt in, we may collect anonymized crash reports and basic usage data to improve performance and reliability.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide core functionality (cleaning recipes, displaying checklists, saving favorites).
• Improve and troubleshoot the app and website.
• Communicate with you about product updates or support requests, if you contact us directly.

Analytics & Ads

We do not serve third-party ads within the core app experience. We may use privacy-respecting analytics on our website to understand aggregate traffic and usage trends. Where required, we will obtain any necessary consent.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with trusted service providers (for example, cloud infrastructure or analytics providers) solely to operate, secure, and improve the Services. These providers are bound by contracts that limit their use of your data.

Data Storage & Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information we process. If you back up PeaPlate data through your device’s operating system (such as iCloud backups), that data is protected by your device and platform settings.

Your Choices

• You can uninstall the app at any time to remove local data from your device.

Children’s Privacy

PeaPlate is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
